[OPEN RP POST]
[Her motives were practical from the start. She and Pietro would join S.H.I.E.L.D. in exchange for safety and potentially the release of political prisoners. Other mutants. In exchange they would work for Director Fury in whatever capacity they were assigned.
They weren't to be trusted right away, however. Both she and Pietro were former terrorists. They had worked under their father, the head of the Brotherhood of Mutants and while perhaps the blood wasn't directly on her hands as it was on Pietro's, they were both culpable for their actions. Wanda understood Fury's attempt to keep them out of sight for the time being. They had much to make up for before he'd risk associating their names with the Avengers.
But they had eventually proven themselves, just as the others had before that, in their unfailing support of the team. She, with her hexes, and Pietro, with his speed, had turned the tides of battle time and again and proven themselves to be heroes, equals of the Avengers and deserving of public recognition as part of the team.
Wanda had always had her pride, as a mutant, as someone who was supposed to be better than mere humans, but it had been a cold thing compared to what she felt as an active member of the Avengers. They were a different kind of people from those she and her brother had worked with before. There was true teamwork there, intent to work toward a greater good rather than personal gain or glory. They put themselves on the line, their lives on the line for it, and Wanda couldn't help but secretly be moved by their dedication to good.]

[ Chocology is a legit field of study, okok. But hey, Bruce made a funny! Or tried to. Either way he'll chuckle a bit to himself before pulling out a chair for her. He doesn't stay up to push it in for her (after all, some people don't like that, so it's enough to just leave it as is and she can adjust for herself, that's for the best, really) and so grabs his own and gives an awkward little wave for her to just. Dig in. ]
Least I could do.
unpossible
She takes a seat and looks at the dessert with some...apprehension.]
How are you supposed to eat it? Just...pick it up?

[ He nods distinctly, but then stops to chew on his thumb thoughtfully. ]
Though. If this is going to be a proper experiment, you should. We should probably at least try both ways - the spooning and the picking up. [ think think think ] ...I'd suggest seeing if we could eat it before it got all melty, but then brain freeze becomes an issue, and if it's the same to you, I'd just as rather, you know. Not.

[She's teasing, of course, and feeling adventurous, she picks it up with her fingertips and leans in to tentatively bite at the corner of the chocotaco. The shell takes more chewing through than she anticipated, not realizing it might be softer than crunchier with the ice cream inside, but after a proper bite she leans back and licks her lips.]
I think a spoon would make this a great deal messier, just from my initial observations.

Good hypothesis. Now. To test it. [ Sage nodding at the pile of napkins. But since she is doing the picking up, he'll be the control and go the spoon route. Managing to cut off a small enough piece with the spoon ends with the front half of his taco smushed across the plate. ] ...Seems legitimate.
[ Scrapety scoop scoop at this ice cream. ]

There may be chocolate gathering at the corners of her mouth but she's enjoying herself too much for once to care about it.]
I think you'd better abandon your tactics for this experiment and consider it a loss, Bruce.

[ He punctuates that with a sharp jab of his spoon in her direction, but that spoon still has some ice cream on it. So then Bruce has to scramble to get it back over the plate before it drips anywhere. Can't be wasting ice cream like this. And starts on cutting off another bite. With same results. ]

Anything else is supplementary and I'd much rather you enjoy it rather than mash it into a mess you can't enjoy so well.
[She has her moments of practicality, okay?]

[ He can enjoy AND do science. He's talented like that. MULTITASKING!!! SCIENCE!!! ]

MEN ENVY HIM.
LADIES SWOON WHEN HE WALKS INTO THE ROOM.
CHILDREN STARE AT HIM IN AWE--
Okay no probably not but he has a single-mindedness about him that Wanda can appreciate.
She sets her dessert down a moment and, pad of post-its and pen at hand, she scribbles a quick note and smoothes it down on the table in front of him.]
Thank you.

...Is it data? They're doing a thing so it could be data, but what couldn't be said out loud???? Is everything all right?????? ]
Oh. [ Herp derp smile. ] You're welcome.

Post-its were meant for their alarm clock warfare and, well, things like that.]
We should do this again, but I'll pick the dessert next time.

Post-its are multipurpose like that. ]
Uh, sure. I think I can make time for further case studies.

Good. I'll be sure to track you down when I've found something suitable.
